Electronics Recycling FAQs
We maintain strict environmental and security standards
What types of electronics do you accept?
GWS accepts a wide range of electronics including computers, laptops, servers, networking equipment, phones, monitors, printers, cables, batteries, and mixed e-waste. We also accept commercial loads such as data center equipment, enterprise storage, and specialty industrial electronics.
Do you provide certifications of recycling and data destruction?
Every processed load includes compliant documentation, including Certificates of Recycling, Data Destruction, and serial-level reporting when required. All data is handled following NIST 800-88 standards.
Is GWS certified?
Yes. GWS operates under Transpere’s R2v3, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certifications, ensuring responsible recycling, strong environmental controls, and safe processing practices.
Do you offer onsite pickup or logistics services?
Absolutely. We provide scheduled pickups, pallet removal, bulk load transportation, and customized logistics support for businesses of all sizes.
What happens to our recycled materials?
All materials are processed in accordance with R2v3 downstream vendor requirements. This means every component is tracked and directed to vetted recyclers, or processors — never landfilled, exported illegally, or mishandled.
How do you ensure data security?
Data-bearing devices are wiped or physically destroyed following NIST 800-88 and industry best practices. We use controlled processes, chain-of-custody tracking, and secure handling throughout the entire lifecycle.
Do you pay for electronics?
Yes — eligible material streams qualify depending on equipment type, condition, and commodity value. We offer transparent pricing and can evaluate your inventory quickly.
Do you offer a referral or partner program?
Yes. Business customers can earn revenue by referring their clients to GWS for recycling. We provide co-branded materials and a streamlined intake process to help partners expand their recycling offerings.
How do we schedule a pickup or request a quote?
You can contact us through our online form, email, or phone. Most requests are answered within 2–4 business hours. We tailor pickup plans to meet your operational needs.
Do you accept household electronics from the public?
Yes, GWS offers convenient drop-off hours for the public for most electronics.
Are there any fees?
Some items — such as TVs, CRTs, and certain specialty items — may have a recycling fee due to hazardous materials and handling requirements. Many common electronics are accepted at no cost.
What areas do you serve?
We serve businesses nationwide through Transpere’s national recycling network and provide local drop-off and pickup services across California.
